About Natasha

Who is Natasha Hurst?

You would think that writing a paragraph or two about who you are wouldn’t be that hard to do and yet here I am struggling to find the words.

Where do you even begin to describe who you are, to tell someone your life story? And how much of it do you expect to capture in such a small amount of space without actually being in the moment with that person whilst they are reliving the experiences for themselves?

I could ramble on and tell you a million stories about the ‘pivotal’ or most ‘memorable’ moments in my life but quite simply; life has been hard at times, joyous and spectacular at others, that’s just how it goes. The biggest thing I have learnt on this magical journey so far is that life doesn’t always go the way you plan it, there are so many twists and turns and unexpected events; but we just need to embrace them, learn from them and live for the moment.

I have no regrets, as everything I have experienced over the course of my life thus far has helped to make me who I am today. In saying that, if you asked me if there is anything that I would do differently if I had the chance to do again – my answer would be ‘yes’, contradictory hey?

Anyway the whole point of this blog is to share my life story, part of it from this point on anyway so I will get to the point about telling you who I am.

I am a person who prides herself on honesty at all costs.

I am not afraid to express my emotions.

I am loyal, trustworthy and reliable.

I strongly believe that good manners and good moral standards cost nothing and yet get you a long way in life.

I am an organisation freak and like to know that I am in the driver’s seat of my own life (or at least giving directions in the passenger seat).

I am always up for a challenge and yearn for knowledge and yet at the same time believe that all the answers lie within.

I often talk before I think and then end up with my foot in my mouth.

I believe that perfection is a state of mind although still something worth striving for.

I believe that everybody makes mistakes but its how you amend them that really matters.

I am free spirited with a quirky sense of humor as I believe that whilst life isn't something to be taken lightly, lightening the mood is important.

I also believe that being true to who you really are is a very important life process.

In short, the answer to who I am is this....

I’m just me, in all of my complicated splendor! A product of a holiday romance, with both Maori & Australian (Scottish & Irish too) blood running through my veins; I am a half cast, I am both sides of the moon. I am: A Mum, Partner, Daughter, Sister, Poet, Musician, Artist, Photographer, Massage Therapist; the list goes on and on as the possibilities are endless.

I don't know where the paths I choose will lead me, but I am just going to keep on living life to the fullest and follow my dreams and heart wherever they may take me.

"It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end"

Thank you for sharing the journey with me.

Love, Light and Peace

Mwah xoxo Tash :)
