Music

Natasha Hurst - Singer/Songwriter

Music has always been a substantially huge dynamic in my life and is something that I am deeply passionate about. Being blessed with the natural ability to sing, I found comfort in the healing power of music and taught myself to play the guitar as a vehicle on which to breathe life into my poetic lyric.

Over the course of my life, I have continued to revel in my passion for music by refining and mastering my skills and have been through an amazingly wide range of musical experience, spanning from; working as a Solo Performer, Rhythm Guitarist / Vocalist in various Acoustic Duos, Lead Singer for Classic Rock & Country Rock bands and I have also added Musical Theatre to my list of adventures.

Influenced by an array of diverse musical styles and drawing inspiration from my life experience, my original compositions are lyrically driven melodies which express and convey heartfelt emotion. Whilst the majority of my songs are based upon life experience, others fall more into the category of idealism and reflect elements of perception and intuition to spread messages of peace, compassion and inspiration in the hopes of manifesting a higher level of consciousness and spiritual awareness.

Preferring to avoid the conditions and constraints that conformity places on people I sing only what I hold in my heart and soul rather than what will receive air play and accolades. It is important to me to reflect all of who I am into my music and I feel that my non conformity shows in the eclectic mix of my original compositions.

The essence of my songs lay within the poetic lyric and the words are infused with energy giving them wings to soar. My stories are crafted around deep emotionally charged melodies and I have been described as an artist with "an incredible strength and rawness that is soulful, meaningful, heartfelt, honest, brave and distinctively unique"; and my live performances have been said to be "engaging, accomplished and like dreaming and listening to the sound of an Angel".

I hope that the surges of emotion within my music touch your heart and that you enjoy listening to it as much as I love sharing it with you.
