Oh OK then...DO'H

On the weekend I went to the St.Kilda Festival and gave myself permission to eat and drink and be merry  (and that I did) on the provision that I moved (we walked and walked and walked) and made no excuses come Monday despite knowing I would be tired and run down - the joys of a massive fun very worth it all weekend :)

Monday was a success - I got up early and dragged my butt to training and then put in a full day of work and got on top of all my mummy jobs.  Big pat on the back to me!!

Tuesday on the other hand - I slept in, I got behind on my housework/mummy duties, I was grumpy and tired and I was lazy with my nutrition to the point of ordering PIZZA for dinner and having a SPLICE ICE-CREAM for dessert after eating only pretzels and drinking coffee for the rest of the day.

As you can imagine I woke up today shitty with myself ready to self punish by detoxing (or in other words starving myself to make up for yesterdays high calorie intake).

Luckily enough my 'GOOD' logic kicked in and told me that I was thinking like the 'old' me and not the 'new' me and I made the conscious choice to just 'accept' what was by admitting my mistake and forgiving myself for it rather than self punishing which would only lead to a negative cyclic pattern.

Off to training I went dreading the moment I would be asked the 'How's your eating been question'?

Yes I took Bruce's advise and confessed so let's just say that I have well and truly paid the price for my slip up.

I 'thought' that I struggled the first day back to training after 8 weeks off, I also 'thought' I struggled on Monday after my big weekend but they were nothing compared to today let me tell you.

It really is true that the food we put in impacts on what we can put out as I've noticed that whenever I eat crap, I will feel crap as it is low in energy and therefore leaves me no energy to expend.

So with all that said its time for me to go and get myself some lunch and also prepare a picnic for a school event tonight - all good nutritious choices :)

I thought this was too funny not to share - watch out my skinny friends I might eat you HAHA!
