I'm a healthy Mummy...

Okay, so I know that I KNOW what to do both food and exercise wise, but I just need it to be something I don't have to overthink and so I joined up to give THE HEALTHY MUMMY program a try.

I decided to give it a go mostly because the recipes shared on their facebook page looked like stuff the kids would actually like, and as I don't want to be doing something for them and something for us, I thought its a good way to do it together.

On Sunday night I worked out the meal plan for the week, got shopping ordered ready for pick up in the morning and psyched myself up ready for a kick arse week...remembering that in a previous blog I said that I am content where I am and mostly only doing this to lose weight so I can have the prophylactic masectomy operation and be able to bounce back quickly!

Day 1 - Week 1 started on Monday the 4th of Feb...

I got the weigh in, measurements and fitness test done and dusted first thing that morning!

As I didn't start work until 11.00am, we also got time to do our first workout video.

Again...I know that I KNOW what to do training wise, afterall I did do my PT qualifications and have done plenty of sessions with awesome trainers in the past BUT I don't want to have to overthink it...okay, I don't want to become obsessed with it and there is a very fine line that I could easily cross that I don't want to cross!

Day 1 went off awesomely and I managed to get in and keep down most of the food for the day!

Day 2...Tuesday 5th Feb

As it was my day off, and as such my sleep in day, we didn't have breakfast until almost lunch time which meant I didn't get in any snacks, AND I chucked most of lunch.  Dinner was delish though although Ace wasn't too much of a fan (hmmm, Mr. Fussy strikes again, he did enjoy the salad though - ofcourse he did MANGO)!

Exercise wise since linedancing hadn't (still hasn't) started back we went on a family bike ride.

I did have all intentions of heading down to do the Avenue track, but considering it was my first bike ride in a very long time (so happy my cycling gear still fits albeit a little snug), Mark and I worked out in the morning (did the same video as the day before because silly me made a booboo) plus danced around like idiots for a little while (hahaha we have joined the zftuesday bandwagon) AND I needed to be able to move the next day so I can work (not a good look when the massager can't move without winching)...I figured it was best to ease into it!

Apart from the boys cutting me off a few times (helllloooo trying to stay on here), it was really enjoyable and I didn't fall off or get off to walk once - WINNING!

Day 3...Wednesday 6th Feb

Food was good...dinner didn't stay down though AND I made a booboo on the amount of noddles eeekkk, Ace thought it was good so thats a bonus!

Decided to do something a little different on the exercise front and just dance around like idiots to some Fitness Marshall Clips on YouTube...omg so freaking funny, but it helped with my cranky "technology sucks" mood - kids and their freaking xbox dramas OMG!

Day 4...Thursday 7th Feb

Struggled with the food today and only kept down 3 meat, rice and veggie balls.

Exercise wise, the boys escorted me (Mr. Grandpa Ace, didn't like the idea of me riding on my own...sooo sweet) to Aqua on our bikes.  Bloody hell!  Their short cut IS NOT SHORT LOL!  Also, it was the toughest but also the best session of Aqua yet!  It was like a normal PT session just in the water; shuttle runs, weights, walking lunges...it got my heart rate up and I loved it!  Then, the boys picked me up and we rode home.  Eeekkk that bridge is a bit sketch to ride over, but I did it!

Day 5...Friday 8th Feb

Started the day with a bloody horrible green smoothie eeeewww!

Was going to exercise in the evening but didn't, instead we dropped the boys at their Dads then climbed into bed and watched a movie...yes, with microwave popcorn - No guilt though, I'm still gonna splurge here and there BUT for the most part I want to be ontrack towards getting 'op ready'.

Progression NOT Perfection!

Day 6...Saturday 9th Feb

Food today was very little, I even spewed the pizza!

Exercise wise was more about movement, and boy did I move!  I cleaned my pantry and then the entire kitchen and then took stuff out to the shed for the upcoming (been upcoming for over a year) garage sale!

I also worked out the menu for Week 2 and ordered the shopping ready to collect tomorrow!

Day 7...Sunday 10th Feb

Today was a better food day than yesterday.

Whilst I again didn't do any proper movement, I did go the psychic expo (I spoilt myself with crystals) with a good friend and walked about the market AND up and down the steps to get in LOL...okay, so clutching at straws there *giggle worthy though*

I also did a little food prep, which was good.

Oh and did I mention that I've been drinking 2 litres of water (sometimes more) a day!  That for me is huge...and a big goal of mine!  Oh did I also mention that I've been getting up umteen times during the night to pee...that part really does pee me off a bit LOL!

Oh another thing, I've been meeting curfew of 11pm for bed (so not tonight as I'm typing this, but every other one)!

Anywho...that is week 1 done and dusted, I've signed up for 4 weeks as a starter and will see how we go.  Slow and steady will win this race...I've got a whole year and a bit to get there, and I WILL get there, I just refuse to cross that fine line!

12WBT Task 7 & 8

In order to know how far you've come, you've got to know where you started.

PRE-SEASON TASK 7 - Fitness Test

1 km Time Trial - This is a measurement of your cardiovascular fitness. The fitter you are, the healthier your heart.

Push UpTest - This is a measurement of your upper body strenth and endurance. How many push-ups can you do in 1 minute?

Wall Sit - This test measures your lower body strength.

Sit & Reach - This test measures flexibility

Crunch - 5 stage abdominal test to determine your abdominal strength
  • Stage 1: Wrists to kneecaps
  • Stage 2: Arms folded across your chest. Full sit up, Elbows to thighs
  • Stage 3: Hands linked behind head. Full sit up. Elbows must stay wide
  • Stage 4: Arms crossed behind your head. Hands on opposite shoulders. Full sit up.
  • Stage 5: Arms fully extended crossed behind head. Full Sit up.

PRE-SEASON TASK 8 - Measure Up and take some statistics

Weigh, Measure and Take a 'BEFORE' Photo

SOME TIPS:

Weight - Choose your weigh in day and make sure you weigh in on the same day and time each week. Mornings are the best - straight after your first pee and in the nude.

Measurements - Make sure that you are wearing the same clothes (including bra for girls) and measure exactly the same way each time, and at the same time of the day.

  • Chest: on the nipple line.
  • Waist: on the belly button and measure around that point.
  • Hips: at the widest part (not on the hip bones).
  • Thighs: With feet apart and arms by your side point thumb downwards - this is your measurement point.
  • Arms: 4 fingers above elbow crease, arm relaxed down by your side as you measure.

So if you pay attention you might have noticed that I have shrunk by 2cm....old age or the wrong initial measurement hmmm.

I am currently a tight Size 14 which means my jeans are uncomfortable.

I have to say that I am totally disgusted in my body fat percentage.  In Feb 2012 it was 33% and in 4 months it has increased by a shocking 17.9% - hence the reason I am looking like a saggy baggy elephant girl.

Unfortunately my loose skin on the inner thighs and arms and my upper tummy will require surgery but in the meantime I plan to just tone up the underlying muscle as much as possible.  I will consider surgery if when I reach my goal I am still not happy with how it looks.

Well, that's the end of the Pre-Season Tasks...now to get on with the challenge.  No luck needed as I am one determined and stubborn woman!

Day 1, Week 1 of AIM TO CHANGE Challenge!!

Today I joined a 12 week challenge on Facebook called 'AIM TO CHANGE'.  Put simply its an online weight loss group with the focus being on helping to inspire and motivate each other to work towards achieving our individual goals.

Although I know that I said 'No more challenges', I feel that this one is different in the sense that it isn't a competition against any one else, no fees were paid and no prizes will be won other than reaching my goals.  I am also feeling stronger and am determined not to fall back into negative patterns of self abuse.

One thing that has been playing on my mind though is that its yet ANOTHER challenge and as we all know my track record hasn't exactly been one that has seen me completeing 'all' of them BUT 'No one really fails if they are willing to try again' and so try again I shall!

MY GOALS for the next 12 weeks:
Lose .5 to 1 kg per week (6 - 12kg)
Follow a Healthy Nutrition Plan
Drink at least 1 litre of water per day
Do 5 X Gym/Training Sessions per week
Get adequate rest (lights out by 11.30pm)
Update Calorie King everyday
Blog Regulary (at least twice a week)
Allow myself a Free Meal each week
Allow myself to enjoy life within reason
No under eating, No overtraining, No binging, No purging.
Celebrate and congratulate myself on the 'wins' (big and small)

Here are the starting stats.  I am so embarrassed to share these and I promise myself that this will be the last time that I ever look this hideous.

You can view my Food Intake HERE

Today's Exercise was a 45minute group boxing class which I really struggled with as I am still really sore from Commando Training; but I pushed through and even did squats!!

Genesis Challenge Weigh In, End of Week 2

This week I lost 1/2 kg which is a good loss considering my food intake increased.

2 Week Weigh In Results:
  • Lost 2kg
  • Lost 1.3% of Body Fat
  • Gained .7% of Skeletal Muscle
  • Reduced by BMI

I am really happy with my progress so far but am very much looking forward to seeing further progress in the weeks to come. I am feeling confident about reaching my goals and cannot wait to see the new improved me at the end of it.

I am in the process of setting myself some target rewards which I will share once I have them properly sorted.  I am finding it to be a difficult process as I feel very selfish for rewarding myself with something when I already take time and money away from my family to go to the Gym.  I am trying to think of non monetary rewards but so far the things that make my heart flutter the most involve hard cash, so I have some work to do emotionally to allow myself to splurge on me and not feel guilty for it!

I am only 1.6kg away from reaching my first goal of being under the 80kg mark again - I believe I can achieve this within the next 2 - 3 weeks.

My aim for Week 3 is:
  • Minimum .6kg loss.
  • Tighten nutrition
  • Keep up exercise routine
  • Balance Life and Gym better
I have to add how absolutely blessed I am to be taking this journey with my wonderfully supportive and inspirational besties Kerrianne and Marianne. Thank you both so much for kicking my butt when its needed, for pulling me up when I start beating myself up, for lending a shoulder when my barriers come down and for lending an ear even though I talk it off, I love you gals - go the Oooh Aaaah Sisters!!

Sunday 6 March 2011

Wow what a week it has been for workouts and socialising.

Thursday morning I did an INCREDIBLE workout with Kerriann, Marianne and Sarah and it was challenging and fun all at the same time.  The workout was all about Hill Sprints - Up and Down) X 6 times with Boxing thrown in between each set.

Peppertree Park Hill - Picture makes it look easy!

Friday it was Moon Reserve Walk Day (2 laps = 6kms) with Bec and Kerriann and Sarah also came along too which meant that I actually ended up jogging half the distance,  just to keep up with her.  Geez that girl can walk fast, I am guessing that she does at least 6.5 - 7 kph.  Gotta say though that I felt awesome being able to jog for so long non stop.  My aim is to be able to do the whole 6km's again without stopping, I'm not fussed on the time too much but I would like to stick to my 1km per 10 minutes (or less of course).  I wouldn't be able to do it all the time as I will admitt that my feet and knees were killing me by the end of the day.  I cannot wait to get them fixed!  Mind you, it didn't help that Friday night we froze our butts off at the BMPS Cinema night - where I had some potatoe chips :(

Saturday morning was Combat with Impact Fitness.  That afternoon I attended a McDonalds birthday party and so by the end of the day I was feeling guilty and very bloated, despite the fact that my burger ended up being flushed.  Saturday night was spent in the company of dear friends where I got to have my very first Xbox Connect Experience and did a 30 minute workout with Bob and Gillian from the Biggest Loser USA.  I found it very challenging knowing as I couldn't figure out where you are supposed to look.  Is it at the hologram (which by the way was embarrasing - my hips are ENORMOUS!!), At the trainer OR at the little bars that tell you your levels.  Anyway trying to figure all this out and do the moves properly made for a very uncoordinated training session - but a fun one at that!

And that brings me to TODAY!!

This morning started off with my usual 9.15am Yoga Class at Belgravia Leisure Centre and then it was home to potter in the garden.  It was such a beautiful day and I am feeling very accomplished but very tired.

WEIGH IN
I decided to weigh in today since I was at the Gym anyway and I am fairly happy with the results although would of liked to have seen more of a change in the BF % and SM % but it will happen.  Considering too that I forgot to take my supplements from about mid-week and wasn't entirely disciplined the result is definitely a good one.

My goals for the coming week are:

Lose .5kg
Lose BF
Gain Muscle
Take Supplements
Follow Nutrition Plan
Workout 6 Days Per Week (Cardio and Resistance)
STUDY! STUDY! STUDY!
Bed before 11.30pm (given myself an extra half hour on last week)

Update as at End Feb 2011

Due to school holidays, packing and moving house, unpacking, my husband cutting his hand open on a power saw, the kids going back to school, and life just generally being hectic my training and nutrition got pushed to the back burner which has seen me pull out of the Body Blitz Challenge and left me feeling Blah!!

Some BIG news!!  I have taken the leap (with a little push from my fabulous friend Marianne) and enrolled to do my Certificate III and IV in Fitness (as well as my Certificate IV in Massage on top of my Yoga Training - Phew, I am going to be one busy girl), and so I figured that it was time to get back on track which meant that it was weigh in time.  What I hadn't realised was that I had not weighed myself since the 2nd week in January - can you believe it, how's that for progress!

Considering it had been two months since I fell off the rails the results were more positive than I expected them to be and although its still so far from where I would like to be I am dedicated to making it happen and know that I will get there eventually (sooner than later would be nice).

RESULTS:
I Lost .4kg, Lost 1.3% Body Fat and Gained .8% Skeletal Muscle.  All the measurements were the same and so I have just used my Jan 2011 photo (below).

My 'fitness' goals for this week...
  • Lose .6kg
  • Follow Nutrition Plan
  • Take Supplements
  • Increase water intake
  • 30 minutes of Cardio everyday
  • Get adequate rest (bed by 11pm)
Well that's it for now, I will once again be updating my blog as often as I can as I believe it keeps me focused - accountability is a huge factor.

Here's to an awesomely productive week ahead for us all.

xox

Note:  I will be re-entering the Body Blitz Challenge in 3 months time.

It's BODY BLITZ Challenge time!!

Happy New Year!!

In staying true to my 'resolution' (for lack of being able to find a better word) of living each and every moment in the 'now', I have decided NOT to reflect upon the previous year as it has all just led me here to 'this moment'.  With that said, I have kicked things off in true Tash style, which is of course jumping straight into the deep end and have joined the Body Blitz 12 week challenge which started TODAY - Monday 3rd Jan 2011.

Whilst I do have 'specific & measurable' goals (Healthy Weight Range, Reduce Body Fat, Increase Muscle Percentage, Reduce Measurements) my main focus is to MAINTAIN A BALANCED AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE which I believe will ultimately help me to achieve the results that I would like to see.

Todays FOOD:  Total Calories 1443

Day 3, Week 3 - 5kg in 4weeks Challenge!

Firstly I want to know where the time is flying too - geez talk about flashing before our eyes!

Secondly, here are this weeks weigh in results.

Whilst it sucks that I have put on 500grams I have managed to reduce my Body Fat % and Increase my Skeletal Muscle which at least explains the gain.

So far this week I have only trained on Monday (Impact Fitness Boxing) and Tuesday (KNo PT Session) with some spot workouts at Contours for my tour on Wednesday and so I am a little antzy to say the least,  but feel that my time is best spent with my sick little man snuggling the day away.  I have another PT tomorrow which I am looking forward to.

Food wise this week hasn't been major disciplined but has still been within reason (and my calories) so I am not too fussed about it, but will need to be careful on the weekend as I find it to be my danger time.

With regards to the 5kg in 4 Week Challenge at the half way mark I have managed to reduce my Body Weight by 1.7kg which means that I need to lift my game if I am going to get the rest of the 3.3kg off in the next week and a half - hmmm, I think perhaps that is a little unrealistic but I will continue to forge ahead because as I have come to realise with my running - it doesn't matter how long it takes to cover the distance as long as it is indeed covered!  Could be said for many things in life really!

Well that's it from me for now, heading back to the couch with my baby!

xoxo

Day 1, Week 2 of 5kg in 4 weeks challenge!

Hmmmm, on a weight loss front I am over the moon - what an awesome result 2.2kg in 1 week.  On the body fat and skeletal muscle percentage side of things however I am totally pissed off at myself.  Here is what calorie king said....

'Good, a loss of a 1kg a week is great news, however a loss of more than 1kg may represent a loss of muscle. This situation, if not addressed at an early stage of your program could result in a reduction in your metabolism, which may make weight loss more difficult. You may need to increase your daily caloric intake by 250 calories'.

So in other words, I need to EAT MORE because even though my calories were up in the 1200 - 1400 area it included my Coffee's each day which as we all know isn't substantial enough to count as nutritious.  So even though it sucks right now I know that I can turn it around.

EXERCISE:

Today's PT session was awesomely empowering, I am still amazed!!  I ran on the treadmill for '1' minute at a speed of '14' (not just once either) and this was after already doing stair climbs, lunges, squats, sprints and treadmill intervals OMG!  A huge thankyou to my training buddy Bec and my mentor Kerriann.

On top of the awesome workout I spent a lovely afternoon with my beautiful new friend Marianne, who in the short time we have known each other has encouraged and inspired me in ways that I can't even clearly express at this point in time.  I also had the best phone chat with my Mum that was full of laughs and so very much needed.  But the icing on the cake was getting a comment on facebook from my precious man telling me that I am looking good.  Even if he had of just typed 'hello' I would of been over the moon - it means the world.

Oh I also have some other news but that can wait until Thursday night!

Love, Light and Peace xoxo Tash!

5kg in 4weeks Challenge - Day 1, Week 1

Here's my weigh in result and my new starting point.  I have decided not to reflect upon the past but to look forward to the future and to my new goals.  I am very proud of my achievements thus far and although at times I have strayed from the path I have learnt along the way and that makes the journey worthwhile.  You never ever really go backwards you just take an alternate path for a little while.

My Goals for the 4 Weeks:
To loose 5kg (Weigh 76.4kg or less).
To reduce Body Fat percentage by 3%.
To increase Skeletal Muscle percentage by 1.5%.
Cardio + Resistance Training (6 days per week).
Follow Nutrition Plan (1400 calories).
Hyrdrate my body.
Get adequate rest.

I have decided not to focus on any other goals for the time being because as we know goal posts can be changed along the way and so I am just going to give myself permission to take it one step at a time and focus on the task at hand.

EXERCISE:  Todays session was an awesome way to kick start my training again - boxing, stair climbs, push ups, side obliques, abs - jam packed and intense!  I also got my new training program today and am very excited about trying it out tomorrow - its looks like a challenge that's for sure but I'm up for it!

Physio didn't really provide me with much relief but its a step in the right direction all the same.  She didn't tell me it was because I 'am' fat BUT she did say that it is more than likely a result of me previously being fat!  Oh she also said to limit the running and to stop when it hurts and if it gets worse see a doctor blah blah blah!  I have some exercises to do which will help build up the muscles around the knee cap so that it stabilises more which will fit in well with my training schedule.

Here's today's FOOD Diary - Tash's Calories
I didn't quite reach my Calorie intake but its a good start, I have already prepared my lunch for tomorrow and will also be sure to have a proper breakfast and start back on my Protein Shakes after my workouts.

I will leave you with the quote that I used to motivate and inspire me today!

You cannot transcend what you do not know. To go beyond yourself, you must know yourself - Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj.

In order to be able to push past my sticking points I need to know myself enough to be able to know where they are and then ofcourse to know when to stop pushing. Visualisation and positive thought is the technique I use to achieve this.  See It, Believe It, Achieve it!

6km Challenge, Day 2, Week 4 - Weigh In

Ok so although the weight gain sucks its not as bad as I thought it would be.  On top of that I suprisingly lost Body Fat and Gained Muscle which is awesome!!

I did really well getting back on track with my food today but have to admitt that tonight I am feeling hungry and peckish for something junky!  BUT, I will not succumb to temptation not because "nothing tastes as good as being thin will feel" but because Kerriann will torture me more if I do LMAO!!

EXERCISE:

Well I did it, I got through a KNo Torture PT session.  Luckily I was in good company and got to share it with the very inspirational Bec.  It's always nice have that extra someone to push you a little harder or to slacken off a little with (us, nah never, hehe).

A Catch Up on Week 2 and Week 3...

OMG where has the time gone I am so sorry that I have neglected this blog not only for those who read it (wishful thinking there hehe) but also for myself because I have let myself go and I am feeling very BLAH because of it.

The last time I wrote was at the end of Week 1 and after a week of using extreme willpower and pushing myself at the Gym I was hoping for a good result!  Well, it wasn't and I was incredibly dissappointed to say the least.

Weight In Results as at 17 September 2010

Weight = 78.8kg (+.5)
BF %   = 39.6% (+.8%)
SM %  = 26.1% (-.4)
BMI     = 26.3

Despite my shitty weigh in result I was still determined to push forward and not let it get me down and although Week 2 was a little stop start with the workouts due to my family being sick, I still did really well nutritionally up until the Saturday at Relay For Life which saw me eating on the run and *junk* was the easier option, well the laziest anyway.  Next year I will be better prepared to fuel my body properly especially considering the amount of energy that gets burnt.  Let's just say that I started at 10am on the Saturday Morning and the event ended at 10am on Sunday Morning and in that time I had a total of 1 (and a bit?) hours sleep the rest of the time was go go go!

From then on Week 3 was a total write off both in the food and exercise department.  After the exhausting event that was R4L (Committee Member and Team Captain) I decided to allow myself a couple of days to rest and recover before heading back to the Gym.  What I didn't count on however was an emotional rollercoaster and so I took to eating for comfort and decided to avoid heading out doors and spent the week snuggling with my boys (I love school holidays).

And so here we are....Day 1, Week 4!

Horrible Weigh In Result for Start of Sept 2010

Today's weigh in result is totally depressing, devastating, disasterous, diabolical the list can go on and on.  I am hoping with my entire being that its not an accurate reading and that once my bodies hormones figure out what they are doing that the scales will once again show a more positive result.

As embarrassing as this is to share here are the results:

Weight increased by .8kg = 80.3kg
Body Fat percentage increased by 2.6%  = 40.7%
Muscle percentage decreased by 1.6%  = 25.5%

Ok so I will admitt that I am still not getting in enough healthy calories and have been purging again on occassion and because of this it means that I am not feeling nourished and so have been eating crap in order to find some satisfaction.  But whilst my food intake hasn't been the greatest I don't feel that it has been so bad as to reflect the results that are showing, especially considering that I have been working my butt off with my exercise.

Anyway, as you can imagine I am feeling really down on myself but am trying really hard to make it work in my favour rather than against.  It is now even more important for me to turn things around and get back to kicking some goals and I have a plan!!

Stay tuned to find out more!

An Update as at 14 August 2010

I hadn't realised that it had been so long since I updated this blog.  To be honest with you the past couple of weeks have been like a yo yo in all aspects of my life.  Biting off more than I can chew not only affects my stress levels but inadvertantly my hips too!

Food wise this week has been shitty - Comfort eating is a real problem.  Exercise wise this week I managed 4 out of the 7 days which is OK but ideally I want to be doing my 6.

On a big positive I ran 2.3km in 20 minutes on Friday about 2 minutes of that was walking to catch my breath so the aim is to build up my stamina so I can go the distance and then increase my speed to get my time.  I'm doing the St.George Melbourne Marathon 5.7km in October so there will be lots of running training sessions between now and then.

Next Phase Weigh In #1

Considering my rocky start I am so happy with this weeks results.

(Oh shit - Skeletal Muscle should read as +.2% bugger it)

I am back at the Gym and let me just say OUCH but in such a good way LOL!

I had a really shitty day today.  I took my baby boy to have a skin pigment looked at which resulted in him having it removed which meant a small surgical procedure.  He was so brave, me on the other hand have been a mess since the doctor told me his plans.  After a very emotional day (which also included me dropping my phone in the toilet and major stress trying to fix it - Telstra SUCKS!) I ended up buying popcorn and pigging out and now I feel like crap on all levels.  Oh well as they say tomorrow is a new day.

Anyway I have a shitload of stuff to get organised ready for tomorrow, I was supposed to be spending the day playing music but now I have to go to a Telstra shop first which sucks - Blah!!

The Challenge - Final Weigh In Results

Here are the final results of the 8 week challenge.

I am feeling really proud of what I have achieved, it hasn't been easy but it has sure been rewarding.

My Goals for the 8 Weeks...

To loose .5kg - 1kg per week.
*I lost .65kg per week

For my Size 12 Jeans (pictured in before photo) to fit comfortably.
*Whilst they are more comfortable I would like them to be a little looser.

To be able to run 4km continuously in under 30minutes.
*Knee has prevented me from running but my fitness level has improved.

To get adequate rest (bed before midnight).
*Had maybe one night a week that I went over curfew and then it was only by an hour at the most.

Follow Exercise and Nutrition Plans.
*I am so happy with my dedication to this, even when I did come off the rails I was able to get back on again which is a huge accomplishment as in the past I would of just given up.

Hyrdrate my body by drinking 2Lt of Water per day.
*I didn't get my 2Lt everyday but I have been drinking more than I used to - I would like to improve on this.

Increase Skeletal Muscle % and Decrease Body Fat %
*Achieved - Whoo Hoo!!

The Challenge - Weigh In #8 (Last one)

Well, unfortunately I didn't end the challenge with an awesome weigh in result but I'm not letting it get to as its only a gain of 300 grams and the other results didn't change which are actually the more important statistics.

OMG how far have I come! Before this challenge an increase of even 100 grams would of been a huge issue and had me down in the dumps for days but I've come to realise that the weight reading on the scales can be a very fickle thing in deed - not to say that its not important, its just not the only indictator of whether or not I am on the right track.

Besides that, the overall total is what matters the most and focusing on the positives is what will keep me forging forward.

The Challenge - Weigh In #7, Day 1 Week 8

I got the Trifecta again which I am very happy about, so happy infact that I even did a little victory dance in the Gym this morning LOL!!

So far in 7 weeks I have lost a total of 5.5kg Weight, 3.3% Body Fat and Gained 1.4% Muscle.

I now have less than 10kg and less than 6% BF to loose until I am at my goal.  Although I know that its still a little while away I at least know that I can (and will) do it!  Gotta say that the thought of reaching it is a little scary and leaves me thinking..."what happens then?" but; as the saying goes I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

I am sooooo tired tonight, I even had to push myself to go to Boxing and normally I can't wait to get there.  It goes to show that relying on motivation alone is not the key, you need to do it regardless of whether you are motivated or not!!

In saying that I have a big week ahead of me as I want to end the challenge on a high!

Lastly I wanted to share my newest Before and After picture.

Before 2000 and After July 2010.
