We had planned to make an early start and spend the day at the beach BUT my car had other plans. And so, whilst Mark spent the morning/afternoon fixing it (how blessed I am to have such a handy hubster) we all just hung out at home; preparing picnic food, chatting lots and watching the four kids all interact so brilliantly together.
By late afternoon we were on the road...for an hour and a half, all thanks to the bumpy detour (omgoodness I needed to pee so badly). Mind you, an extra half hour is nothing compared to the 7 hour trip for Kim to get to the beach *still in shock*!
We all had so much fun playing in the waves. One of the funniest moments for me was leisurely walking out into the sea next to Kim chatting away, when down we went into a sand divot! Graceful NOT!
Once dressed and dry, we had a picnic dinner and then piled into the cars again to head home.
The kids were treated to Donnas Yummy pancakes for dessert, and then settled in to watch some youtube while the adults once again sat chatting and laughing until we could no longer keep the yawns at bay.
